Bio

Hello there, I'm Angelica! I'm a YA & romance author whose books feature messy, ambitious girls trying their hardest despite the cards being stacked against them. My debut novel, THE FAST TRACK, is forthcoming from Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. I am represented by Claire Friedman at Inkwell Management.

Born in Shanghai, I've lived all over the world (Utah, Chicago, Hong Kong, just to name a few!). I currently live and work in the New York metropolitan area with my partner and two sons.

(MSWL)

I'm terrible at MSWLs because I always wind up liking things I don't think I'll like! So instead of stating anything specific, I'm going to list out recent reads I've enjoyed. If your work is in the same vein as any of these (whether setting, tropes, or just vibes), send it on over!:

Mentoring Style

I'm very flexible and will let you lead when it comes to communication preferences for the writing/editing process. I'm here to help, so please don't be shy! Feel free to ask any and all questions--whether about revisions, querying, the industry in general, or whatever is on your mind.

After mentee announcement, I'd love to set up a call (or grab a coffee if you happen to be in the NYC area) to hear about you, your story inspiration/vision, as well as your timeline and goals for your project.

Applications
from Connections

I don't have a preference regarding who may submit to me, even if we have connected in the past
