Bio
I write Contemporary Romance full of love, laughter, and Black joy. I am represented by Jemiscoe Chambers-Black at Starling Literary + Media. After being a lifelong (I'm talking Sailor Moon fanfic by the age of 12, Harlequin novels by 8th grade) romance reader, I started my writing journey in 2018, and was accepted into a romance mentorship program in 2022.

Because of the wonderful writing community and guidance I was able to receive on my manuscript and writing in general, my debut, THE KISS COUNTDOWN, which features fake dating between a struggling event planner and a sexy astronaut, came out in 2024. I have since released two more books; one traditionally published and one self-pubbed Christmas novella.

I live in San Antonio, Texas with my kids and husband where my time is spent homeschooling and running around during the day, and writing at night.

I love all subgenres of romance, though I am best equipped to help shape Contemporary Romance, Rom Coms, and Women's Fiction with strong romantic elements. I'm not the best fit for SciFi, but if your romance has slight speculative or paranormal elements, feel free to send it my way.

- FMC Single POV (this is not a hard line if the MMC is compelling)
Mentoring Style
I'm not here to change your story or vision, just to make your novel shine!
You can expect to do some character work (nailing the GMC) as needed, an edit letter, and help with your query package. For communication, you can expect an introductory Zoom call, check in via DM's and emails, as well as check-ins throughout the querying stage and beyond.
